The master illusionist David Blaine never fails to surprise his audience when it comes to unveiling some unthinkable magic illusion tricks. The 43-year-old beats all odds to become the most unimaginable magician of the 21st century. Most if not all of his live performances if not all including David Blaine street magic, have never failed to unravel freaked-out reactions from the audience present. Through the featured show, Beyond Magic, the world of magic gave David Blaine an identity.

Thus, from defying the laws of gravity to tempting death, nothing beats these two favored David Blaine magic tricks.

1. The Classical catching a Bullet With Your Mouth Magic Trick – David Blaine

The year was 2009 and Blaine managed to pull a trick not even seen in the Matrix movie. A friend of his fired a straight flying bullet from a rifle and he managed to stop it, not with a bullet vest, but with his mouth. As if the horror was not enough, Blaine dared repeat the same trick with a 22 caliber Rifle. In the course of his training for the magic set, he made use of an elaborate setup to position himself by using a cup, his phone’s front camera, and a string that directly attached itself on the rifle’s trigger. The torment that made the trick transform to something like a horror movie is the excruciatingly long teasing shot that led to Blaine pulling the trigger. He described the experience to something comparable to being punched after walking away with the mouth guard shattered. The MGM Grand Garden Arena stunt off was pre-ambling. An hour before the main show, Blaine had the mouthpiece repaired, but he exclaimed that during the show time the pain amplified. The outcome of the show was a happily tormented crowd with Blaine embracing minor a mouth laceration.

2. The Frog in the Throat Magic Trick – David Blaine

The magic show by David Blaine was an exceptional performance to celebrities in attendance Drake, Dave Chappelle, Stephen Curry and the rest. Drake became a participant and was asked to think of an animal small enough to fit in his hand. Without waiting for a response, Blaine scribbled up a frog-like animal and then used a champagne flute to regurgitate into it what looked like a tiny amphibian. He then handed Drake his unique creation and surprisingly coughed up another amphibian. The audience still lured by shock and surprise, were forced to check Blaine’s mouth through the collaboration of Drake and Stephen Curry. Blaine then surprised them by coughing up a third amphibian. All that the audience could do was cover their mouth as the performance by Blaine was messing with everyone’s mental sockets. Blaine also went to perform the same trick on David Beckham, but this time he had his mouth shut during the process.

That is David Blaine ladies and gentlemen, the master magician who knows no limit.

Fun magic trick, tie your shoelaces with just a shake and a kick /self-tying-shoe-lace-trick-revealed/ Mon, 23 Jan 2017 09:53:58 +0000 /?p=670 Thank you, and excuse me, while my shoelaces tie themselves

Made famous by magician David Blaine, this magic trick shows how you can tie your shoelaces without using your hands. Someone is always very kind to point out when your shoelaces are untied. So, what do you do? Don’t just thank them, you shake a leg and amuse them.

You can check the video  and see for yourself how simple and convincing it seems.

Read on to find out how you can recreate this trick with just a few tools and a fun trick.

To do this trick, all you need is an extra lace, a safety pin and a string about the size of your leg. You start with the shoelace and lay it out on a flat surface. Fold the shoelace halfway so that both the ends are at the same level. Now bind the two halves together with the help of a safety pin in the middle. Now, bring out the string, and make a knot through the safety pin hole. For the best effect, make sure to use one of the ends of the rope to make the knot; a knot in the middle of the rope might look there’s an extra lace hanging out. For the final stage of preparation, put on your pants halfway (up to the knees), and stand up. Insert the lose end of the string from the bottom of your pants and pull them out of the top of the pants (waist). Now, wear your pants as usual such that the there is a comfortable length of the string hanging out from the waist.

Now, the execution: the trick works by showing a fake shoelace on top of the real one, but the real ones are hidden under the trouser legs. Anyone looking should just think your shoelaces are undone. At this point, the bow of your real shoelaces should be folded upwards and hidden them within your trouser legs. So while you shake your leg, pull the string to make the fake ones go up and revealing the real ones. That’s it, the trick is simply to pull the fake ones in and shake the tied shoelaces out, literally. Cool trick, huh!

Here are just a few extra clues for a smooth touch. Firstly, the extra lace should match the one you’d be wearing while doing the trick. Secondly, try threading the string through your trouser pocket from the inside, so you can pull on the thread with your hands on your pocket.

Now you know if David Blaine trick is Real or Fake 🙂

The trick is to know how to fool observers into thinking that magician is walking barefoot on broken glass. There is the type of fake sugar called glass window that you can use to create the illusion to that you are walking over broken glass. The material looks like real glass, but it is made of sugar and tears apart much easier than ordinary glass.

Copperfield’s lady liberty trick- A statue that never moved /david-copperfield-statue-of-liberty/ Sun, 22 Jan 2017 15:44:13 +0000 /?p=650 Copperfield’s greatest trick explained/ How he did it

You know this illusion is just freaking awesome !!

statue of liberty - david copperfield

The world of Magic since it’s beginning, has had many great performers all known for their own personal styles and great tricks. When looking back on some of the world’s greatest magicians one name comes to mind. That name, David Copperfield. Originally Born David Seth Kotkin, on September 16, 1956, Copperfield would only have to live an ordinary life for twelve years before slowly climbing his way into the spotlight. Four years later at the age of sixteen David would take the stage name of David Copperfield, a name used in one of the popular Charles Dickens novels. This is when his career as a magician quickly started to progress from being a small time performer to one that people soon began to recognize, one that was so popularly loved each year he performed more than five hundred times.

A full career later, holding the titles of “Magician of the Millennium’ and “Magician of the Century, he had earned himself twenty one Emmy Awards, and was presented with the very first Hollywood Walk of Fame star ever given to a living magician. His two greatest awards would be argued by many, were his being knighted by the French Government and being awarded with the U.S. Library of Congress Living Legend Award.

But why was he so loved? How did He receive not only loyal fans but some of the greatest awards ever presented to a magician? Many who love the styles and performances of Copperfield will agree that his two most mystifying tricks Would be, his Walking through the great Wall of china and his famous Statue of Liberty disappearance and reappearance act. In 1983 David Copperfield took the stage once more, in front of a live audience using a radar machine, intense bright lighting and a huge Curtain. A helicopter flew above to provide a bird’s eye view of what many call his artist masterpiece.

What the audience sees is a ring of lights placed around our great lady The Statue of Liberty. The helicopter moves directly into the air space above her crown and torch and the curtain is pulled upward between two large towers places on either side of the audiences platform. Than Copperfield makes his way to the radar machine showing that nothing is being picked up as moving in or around the statue. After some magical gestures David then signals the curtains release and ‘wah lah’. The curtain falls and the crowd gasps in shock and awe as it appears as though he has just made one of our Nation’s greatest landmarks vanish into thin air. The bird’s eye view shows nothing of how he has pulled this monumental event off and shows no signs as to where she has gone. He than reverses the trick and brings her back.

This trick shocked the nation. Theories, assumptions, opinions and craze over how he did it swept across the world. Everybody wanted to figure out how he did it and yet nobody was truly able too. So how did he do it? How did he manage to take such a large monument and with some captivating showmanship make hundreds, thousands and possibly millions of people believe he made her momentarily and magically vanish? A true magician never reveals his tricks, but YouTube does! Here are two videos explaining how he approached and presented his Statue of Liberty disappearing act and the answer that many have asked for generations, how it was done.

The Real Truth Behind Dynamo Magician /the-real-truth-behind-dynamo-magician/ Sun, 22 Jan 2017 15:11:40 +0000 /?p=647

The Freaking DYNAMO – IMPOSSIBLE MAGICIAN

Dynamo magician is a 31 year old magician from Bradford England. He rose to fame after release of his hit show DYNAMO: MAGICIAN. He grew up in a violent neighborhood of England. He was brought up by his single mother while his father was constantly behind bars. His grandfather played the role of father in his life and was a strong early influence and teacher of magic.

He took to magic from an early age as a survival mechanism which would protect him from bullies in school. Despite his excellent mastery of card tricks, the need to be more than average made him incorporate hip pop music and dance to his performances which greatly grew his fan base.

When he was a teenager, he developed a horrible medical condition that caused him to be in and out of hospital. After a year of tests and medication he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. This is a form of inflammatory bowel disease that affects parts of the gut causing severe abdominal pain with diarrhea. This also led to him being smaller and shorter than most of his friends at puberty.

He had to decide between undergoing six months of dialysis or a newer surgery that was aimed at removing a portion of his stomach. He underwent the surgery and came out successfully despite leaving him with a lifelong s-shaped scar on his stomach.

He appeared on many local shows and with time his fan base grew national and even international. He has a strong fan base among the stars and has levitated Lindsay Lohan, James Corden, and Matt Lucas. He appeared on Snoop Dog’s show. He also showed up for the MTVs EMA where he performed for Jay Z, Gwyneth paltrow and Will Smith.

Dynamo’s Magic Tricks

His range of tricks range from card tricks, levitations and walking on water stunts. Here we will see some of His magic tricks revealed.

Walking On Water

On a bright sunny day he casually walked on the river Thames before he was picked up by a police boat. This is one of his most impressive and controversial tricks. He defied every physics law and nature itself in that he was able to walk quite a distance before being picked by the police.

There have been numerous explanations as to how he was able to pull the stunt considering he was being watched by completely unaware onlookers.

One theory explains that the two kayaks and the policemen were all part of the well executed stunt. He supposedly had Pyrex glass beneath the water surface that allowed him to walk the small distance. There are plenty of loose ends in the plan of course but he indeed was able to amaze people with that stunt.

Bus Levitation

On of his other major tricks was when he was seen flying across the city of london alongside a bus. He is seen to be only lightly holding on to the bus with one hand. This was met by serious shock by the spectators. But this was just a levitation illusion.

The explanation just like the walking on water incident is almost entirely on perfect execution. He ensured he was tightly strapped to the car with the fake arm and the driver knew exactly what was going on so as to ensure his safety.

His fame over the years has only grown with time. He has even done advertisements for various multimillion companies. As to his genuineness then it is just a matter of perception. After all magic is centered on the ability of the performer to fool the onlookers.

7 Mind Blowing Mentalism Tricks Revealed /mentalism-tricks-revealed/ Wed, 30 Nov 2016 13:21:11 +0000 /?p=578 mentalism secrets and mind reading

I bet you are going to love these  Secrets being Revealed. Read Further.

Jaw Dropping Mentalism Secrets Revealed to Public

1—>Mental Shape Projection

2–>Three of Diamonds

3–>Easiest Guess Your Card Trick Ever

4–>Mental Shape Projection

5–>Pick Four Cards from the Bunch

6–>Memorize the First Card

7–>Grey Elephants in Denmark

Stand a good 25″ from your spectator to create a functional atmosphere. Start by telling them to picture a screen and counter this by drawing a square screen between you. Next you’ll ask them to imagine another shape while emphasizing that it should be like a square, but not a square. As you say this you’ll hold out your hands to form a triangle but in such a way that it may be misinterpreted as just a lazy square. Next ask them to put another shape around the first, while doing this you draw a circle inside the screen but you do not draw a full circle which would be too obvious. This imprints the idea of a triangle inside a circle without them realizing what you are doing.

Three of Diamonds

This is similar to the previous trick because you’ll be projecting the shape and number to the spectator with simple gestures. Ask them to think which card you have in your pocket which will be the 3 of Diamonds. Next form a diamond with your hands while talking about a screen so they don’t realize what you’re doing. Then you mention a number, putting emphasis on saying “Low down” in the corner. After this you’ll ask them to picture the dots on the card while making three impressions with your hand to lead them to the number 3.

Easiest Guess Your Card Trick Ever

After shuffling the deck, have a look at the bottom card. Take bunches of cards from the top until the spectator says stop. You will then lift up the remaining cards and show them the card right at the bottom which is the same card that was at the bottom initially. You can then guess what their card is.

Pick Four Cards from the Bunch

Check which card is at the bottom of the pack and then spread the cards across the table, keeping track of where the bottom card is. In the case of this video it’s the 6 of Hearts. Then ask the spectator to pick out the 6 of Hearts. When they pick a card, you check to see what they picked, in this case it was the 7 of Hearts which is what you’ll ask them to pick out next. Do this once more, checking which card they picked and then asking them to pick out that card. When they’ve picked a third card you once again check what it is and then tell them that you’ll pick out that card. What you’re actually doing is picking up the 6 of Hearts because you know where it is on the table.

Memorize the First Card

Start by looking away from your spectator and have them choose a card in their minds and then deal the cards one by one while calling out which cards they see. All you need to do is to memorize the first card in the deck. Ask them if they’re dealing the cards from face down to face up, when they answer yes you tell them to assemble the deck again, flip it over and find their card. Use misdirection by asking them if it’s sandwiched between two red cards, this is actually irrelevant. Have them remove their card, take a few moments to focus on the card then add it on the top of the deck and cut the deck once. They can then deal the cards from the bottom of the deck and call them out as they do, as soon as they call out the card which you remember was initially first in the deck, you’ll know the next one is their card.

Grey Elephants in Denmark

Ask your spectator to choose a number between 1 and 10, then to multiply it by 9 and add the two digits of their new number. After this they need to subtract 5. What they don’t realize is that they will end up with 4 regardless of which number they’ve selected initially. Next ask the spectator to relate the number to a letter, A equalling 1, B equalling 2, etc. They will thus have D as their letter. Next they have to pick a country starting with that letter. Now, have them move on to the next letter which will be E and have them pick an animal that starts with that letter, also have them think of the colour of the animal. Now you will ask them why they’re thinking of grey elephants in Denmark. While this trick doesn’t always work, chances are good because there are very few well known countries that start with D and just as few animals that start with E, Denmark and Elephant are the go-to options for most people in this regard.

Double Sided Tape

Write the word NO on the back of all the cards in a deck with the exception of one which has YES written on it. The card with Yes on the back will be the front card on the deck and will have a piece of double sided tape on it which you’ll need to conceal as you do the trick. Have the spectator pick a card, then change their mind a few times and pick other cards each time. Once you’ve done this a few times they can tell you which card they picked and you’ll remove it and put it on the front. Press down on it so it sticks to the card with YES written on the back so that when you flip it over it looks like you wrote YES on the back of the card they picked and NO on all the others.

3 Mind Reading Tricks to Inspire Anyone /3-mind-reading-tricks-to-inspire-anyone/ Thu, 24 Nov 2016 18:29:35 +0000 /?p=545 Of course as a beginner you won’t be able to pull of large stunts like that of Blaine or Criss Angel just yet. However, here are some famous mind tricks that would certainly blow your audiences mind.

Bending a spoon with your mind

Firstly, is the classic “Bending a spoon with your mind”. Since this is a classic trick, there are different ways of doing it and here’s the most common way.

This trick involves sleight of hand. For this trick, you’ll need a spoon that is already bent and exact same spoon which you will only need for its stem part. To start with the trick, you will have to hold the already bent spoon in the part where the stem and the head of the spoon meets. Hold them using your middle finger and your thumb. Hold the straight stem as well so that the audience will see the head of the bent spoon, while hiding its stem behind your middle finger, and the straight stem. Once you are ready to bend the spoon, slowly loosen your grip with the straight stem so that it will fall to behind your me finger, on top of the bent spoon. Now, carefully get the bent spoon whilst hiding the straight stem behind your middle finger by the help of your other hand and draw the audiences’ attention to it. To help familiarize yourself, here’s a video of Magic Secrets Revealed, “Bend a Spoon With the Power of your Mind”.

Turning your $1 bill into a $50

Secondly, another classic trick is turning your $1 bill into a $50. Fortunately, you cannot really turn your $1 to $50 miraculously but here’s how you can amaze your audiences.

For this one, you’ll need a $1 bill and a $50. For the first step, you’ll have to attach an already folded fifty-dollar bill to the one dollar bill. Be careful not to attach the front face of the bill because you’ll have to show it to the audience after. Fold your $1 vertically in half once. Then fold it again vertically, then horizontally. You should be able to see the back of the bill. The one dollar bill will be divided to four. Do fold the $50 the same way as the $1. Now you can attach the $50 to the back of the $1. Now that you have attached the bills, you can now perform the trick.

Spread the $1 bill so that your audience would see it. Be careful not to show the back of the bill. You can hold them on both sides. Next fold it like the way you folded it earlier without covering the fifty-dollar bill attached. Now quickly flip the bill so that the fifty-dollar bill will be in front. Then, unfold it and show your audience how the $1 became $50 in a blink of an eye. Here’s a video that’ll help you make it look more believable.

Trick – 3 Card Monte

For the last trick, you will have to cut a card to a certain shape to do this trick. It is called the Trick – 3 Card Monte. The trick here is you will ask your audience to take note of the card in the middle of the two same cards and after the trick, the audience will realize that the card they have noted is not there.

First step is to cut the card so that it will only show the number, the color and the shape. Attach it to another card. For example, your 3 cards will be queen of hearts, queen of diamonds, and king of hearts. The other card that you’ll cut is the Ace of hearts. Attach the Ace of hearts to the queen of hearts. Put the king under the ace of hearts. Then arrange the cards so that what the audience will see is the Queen of hearts, Ace of hearts and Queen of diamonds. Now, ask the audience to take note of the card in the middle. Place the king of hearts first, face down, and then the two queens on the other side while also flipping the card attached on the queen of hearts. Lastly, ask your audience what was the card in the middle. After his/her answer, show him the card in the middle and collect the two queens and show your audience those cards as well. Here’s Criss Angel to help you with that trick. 3 Card Monte is a classical trick that can impress even the toughest audience. Learn this trick thoroughly and blow some minds.

Aside from these three, there are other mind reading tricks for beginners that will surely help you gain confidence and skill for bigger performances. Just practice them occasionally and who knows, you might be the next Houdini of this generation.

Reading Through the Mind Reader’s Mind /criss-angel-david-blaine-houdini/ Thu, 24 Nov 2016 18:22:14 +0000 /?p=543 Magic or most commonly known as street or stage magic is a form of art that entertains audiences by staging tricks and illusions with the help of some special effects, speed of light and so on. Oftentimes it doesn’t use any paranormal things but it still appears to the audience as impossible or unnatural with just the skill, timing, and sometimes charm, of the performer.

If you are a beginner or you just want to know more about magic, here are some basic information that would be really helpful along with some magic tricks that can help you be the next Houdini.

Some of the famous illusionist are Harry Houdini, David Blaine, Chris Angel, the list goes on. Each has their own expertise but nonetheless aims to amaze their audiences.

See some of the greatest magic revealed here.

See more Mind Reading Tricks Here.

Just the name Houdini would ring a bell to any magic enthusiast out there. Harry Houdini was best known for his sensational escape acts. Born as Erich Weisz, and was later known as “Harry Handcuff Houdini” or Harry Houdini. Houdini’s act caught the attention of Martin Beck, who later managed him and had him booked at some best vaudeville venues in the country, immediately followed by a tour in Europe. His stunts would usually involve the local police who would strip search, handcuff and lock him in their jails. He continued performing later in the United States. From handcuffs and straitjackets, he stepped up his game by using locked water-filled tanks. His greatest performance would be that of the Chinese Water Torture Cell. Suspended by his feet and lowered upside-down in a locked glass cabinet filled with water, he would try escaping whilst holding his breath for three minutes.

Another well-known illusionist and endurance artist is David Blaine. Blaine has his own television special Street Magic which was known to be the “best TV magic special ever done” wherein his idea is to turn the camera around to the audience so that the audience will be watching the audience’s reaction and where there is a “show within a show”. There are few memorable acts that made him more famous one was performed April 5, 1999 where he was entombed in an underground plastic box underneath a 3-ton water filled box for seven days. BBC News stated that, “The 26-year old magician has outdone his hero, Harry Houdini, who planned a similar feat but died in 1926 before he could perform it.” David blaine magic makes the audience go wild.

The next illusionist will have to be, yes, the famous Criss Angel. He developed interest in magic at the early age of seven and started performing little acts in the age of twelve. And, who’d have thought, his greatest influence is Harry Houdini as well. Just like David Blaine, he is also known for starring in his television show Criss Angel Mindfreak which showcases illusions like walking on water, levitating, floating, even surviving an explosion. In 2006, he performed alongside Cirque Du Soleil to produce Criss Angel Believe which became the best-selling magic show in the world.

Of course as a beginner you won’t be able to pull of large stunts like that of Blaine or Criss Angel just yet. However, here are some famous mind tricks that would certainly blow your audiences mind.

Balducci Levitation – Debunking the Myth /balducci-levitation/ Wed, 23 Nov 2016 04:43:47 +0000 /?p=537 Balducci Levitation : Levitation? How is this Even Possible?

First described by the legendary Ed Balducci, the Balducci levitation or balducci magic is a sophisticated type of magic whereby the subject – in this case – the performer appears to virtually float or sometimes walk ( levitate ) in the air. It is an impromptu magic trick that has popularized over the years by legendary magicians such as Paul Harris, David Blaine, and David Roth. Balducci Magic is said to be one of the oldest magic tricks that is commercialized. There is also a specific balducci rising card trick that is quite famous.

Wondering how this is even remotely possible? Well, here is a quick primer on that.

How the Magic Works

The magician or performer stands a few meters from the audience. For this to work, the audience/observers have to stand close or sit close together such that all have a similar view of the magician’s feet. This way, they can see an entire whole foot of the performer but only the hill of the other one. It is imperative for the viewers to get these angles right. After this, just when the magicians is in the exact right position, he will start to slowly lift from the ground. To the observers, this will look like a real levitation – complete with floating for a few seconds before landing softly. An experienced magician can make this last to almost a minute or so and convince even the most skeptical observers that it is possible to float around like a superhero.

That being said, the Balducci Levitation is a clever, hard-to-execute-well optical trick. And this is what really happens: the magician lifts part or whole of his visible foot. However, simultaneously, he will also be lifting the heel of the hidden one. Now bearing in mind that he stands on part his hidden foot ( which is well hidden from the spectators ), he creates an illusion that he is floating with both feet lifted off the ground. This is also on of David Copperfield Tricks.

See more levitation tricks here

Why It Works

At this juncture, you might be wondering how people are convinced to believe that levitation – in spite of it being a subtle trick – is possible.

Well, the success of this mind trick heavily relies on the fact that most people are inclined to believe that magic is possible. This psychological subtlety boosts the chances of the spectators believing that it is not just another trick. That alone, plus a little acting on the side of the performer can make turn mere spectators into fervent adherents of levitation.

For example, it is common for the performer to inform the spectators well ahead of time that he wants to levitate. This prepares them psychologically for any illusion he can pull off his hat. He then pretends or acts like he is trying to find a ‘special’ spot where he can levitate safely. He will also couple by conveying the idea that levitation and floating is physically difficult or straining. And for the position where the audience has to stand or sit; he will provide an explanation for it by saying that he wants them to catch him in case he trips or falls.

The Bottom Line

Like a dozen of other magic tricks out there, the Balducci Levitation heavily benches on optical misdirection and illusion. And this is how it looks like

Rub The Coin Into Your Arm- Amazing Coin Sleight /rub-the-coin-into-your-arm-amazing-coin-sleight/ Thu, 10 Nov 2016 10:24:32 +0000 /?p=516 So, the aim of this trick is to make the coin disappear into your arm. You want the audience to believe you rubbed the coin into your skin and then it’s gone, vanished!

Very simply, this is best done while sitting down, you are going to rest with your hand facing your head and you want to almost look like you are resting your hand on your hand with the elbow facing out towards the audience. With the opposite hand take the coin and start rubbing it along your arm. Drop the coin and come up with an excuse – this is a misdirect for when you’re going to switch hands. Pick the coin up and rub your arm once again.

See more  tricks

Do this a couple of times, where you rub your arm with the coin, drop it and pick it up. After dropping the coin the second time, you want to pick up the coin with the hand you were resting your head on, pick it up and then you are going to make it look like you are handing the coin back into the hand you were using to rub the coin on your arm.

Julien has an excellent tutorial of this trick available here:

But really, you are retracting the coin back into your fingers and pretending that you have taken the coin back with the hand used to rub. Bring the coin back and place it into your collar so that it can have truly disappeared. Begin rubbing your arm with the opposite hand and then “make it disappear.” Show the audience both of your hands and let them know you’ve rubbed the coin into your skin, it’s gone and your hands are empty.
